AT&T Missed Call Text Back Setup

Setting up missed call text back on AT&T requires enabling 'Conditional Call Forwarding'. This tells AT&T to send calls to our system only when you don't answer, are busy, or are unreachable, while keeping your main line ringing normally first.

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1

    Dial the Forwarding Code

Open your phone's dialer and enter the following code (replace [NUMBER] with your Smart Text Back number):

    *61*[NUMBER]#
    2

    Set 'Busy' Forwarding

To handle calls when you're already on another line, dial:

    *67*[NUMBER]#
    3

    Set 'Unreachable' Forwarding

To handle calls when your phone is off or has no signal, dial:

    *62*[NUMBER]#
    4

    Verify Setup

Call your business number from a different phone and let it ring out. You should receive a text back within seconds.

    Common Setup Problems

Q: The code returned an 'MMI Error'

A: This usually happens if your account doesn't have call forwarding permissions. Contact AT&T support to enable 'Conditional Call Forwarding' on your line.

    Q: Calls are forwarding immediately

A: You likely used *21* (Unconditional Forwarding) instead of *61*. Dial #21# to cancel and try the codes above again.

    Or Skip All of This
